I came across a case of a girl of blunt pelvic injury due to fall of the unfinished wall on her pelvis. The age of the girl was 10 yrs, very lean & thin with a very poor socioeconomic background, came with bleeding from the vagina only. There were no external marks of injury seen on pelvic area, hip or thighs. I examined her perineal region. Hymen was ruptured, the even urethral orifice cannot be seen. The injury was 6hrs ago with a history of no passage of urine since then.

The child was asked to urinate in whatever position she wanted, but she failed. Now we had started examining her vagina with gentle one little finger, but no vaginal wall anterior, posterior or lateral can be felt. all tore, On little manipulation, we found badly ruptured urethral orifice, catheterisation is done.
