Disability is a global health issue and includes impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions, denoting the negative aspects of the interaction between an individual (with a health condition) and that individual’s contextual (environmental and personal) factors (WHO). Every year, 3rd December 2021 is observed as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This year’s theme is “leadership and participation of persons with disabilities towards an inclusive, accessible and sustainable post-COVID-19 world.” The theme is entitled to highlight the issues faced by people with disabilities during the pandemic and beyond. Let us join together to make the environment inclusive, acceptable, and sustainable for people with disabilities.
