INTRATHECAL Adjuvants like Butorphanol, Dexmedetomidine etc in Spinal Anaesthesia — reduces the incidence of Post / INTRA operative nausea vomiting. Though it sounds strange. This is true in clinical practice. Even administration of Methyl ergometrine, Prostaglandins during LSCS— is NOT causing nausea and vomitings.
This may be a contradicting finding to what was expected — but surprisingly this is clearly observed in my study in more than 500 cases. Butorphanol 2mg, Dexmedetomidine 50 mg INTRATHECAL are very safe Adjuvants In LSCS. Kindly observe and share the findings.
