It is now becoming quite common that some of the hospitals and doctors advertise the cost of surgery and most often when the patient reaches to those hospital, several hidden charges are claimed. or costly alternatives are strongly suggested. This system of advertising cost creates a very unhealthy practice and MCI must take strict action against those doctors and hospitals.
Secondly, such advertised cost is most often much less that the list submitted by them to CGHS, ECHS etc and to several TPA's.
