Anemia is a state in which circulating red blood cells are below the normal level. In the case of chronic kidney disease (CKD), the kidney is unable to make enough erythropoietin. Lack of erythropoietin is a major cause of anemia in chronic kidney disease. Hence, the management of anemia in CKD becomes utmost necessary.
