A 28 years old female came to hospital's general surgery OPD for recurrent abdominal pain. After going through relevant investigation USG-Abdomen, she was diagnosed with gall bladder stone. It was decided to perform laparoscopic surgery for the gallbladder removal. The diseased gall bladder was removed laparoscopically and was found to be having 206 stones. The incidence of such large number of gallstone is less than 0.1 % and very few cases of such large number of stone to be removed laparoscopically have been reported.
This rare surgery has performed in one & half hours duration. Laparoscopy Surgery is being performed in very few government hospitals. Such a surgery can cost upto Rs. 1 lakh in private hospitals.
