Synopsis Psoriasis is a chronic, systemic inflammatory disease that has a global prevalence range of 1–3%. There are several treatments available for psoriasis which are effective and well tolerated in many patients. However, the conventional systemic therapies have limited efficacy in various patients, also, in some patients, the clinical response to biologics decreases over time due to recognized safety issues with biologics.
Further, some psoriasis patients switch between multiple treatments over their lifetime or remain untreated or undertreated.
