This is a first of its kind research work on participatory learning for action among Septuagenarian practising physicians with nearly fifty years of experience in various specialities both in India and abroad. All of them hold basic MBBS degree from Karnataka Medical College, Hubballi, District- Dharwad in Karnataka State, India. This an experience sharing of about 40 doctors of 1962 MBBS entry batch, 25 in person and another 15 through filling in protocols shared. Of the 25 attending in person 15 had come with their spouses.

The Research was limited to sharing experiences of self or spouses only and not from any of their professional clients. Old age comes with its own set of problems. Well-being has become an important focus for health and social policy in general, and in relation to older people in particular and has been linked to ideas about ‘active ageing’.
