One of my close relatives has been diagnosed with early stage of Ca Breast and has undergone simple mastectomy. As it was hormone receptors positive, she is also put on Tab Tamoxifen. All these drugs lead to some of the side effects.
Recently the drug was changed to Tab Letrozole. Please guide me whether it is mandatory to give prophylaxis against recurrence and which drug out of the two is known to have less side effects. Respected Oncosurgeons and others having experience of treating such complications may guide me please.
