The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) and many eye care organizations, professionals, beneficiaries and supporting public will be celebrating World Sight Day (WSD) today. WSD is an international day of awareness about avoidable blindness and its prevention, marked on the second Thursday of October every year. Set to commence on October 11 th this year, the event tends to raise awareness against visual impairments and calls the international community to collaborate with the aim of eliminating blindness and its pertinent conditions that are avoidable.
