Nepotism means the practice among those with power or influence of favouring relatives or friends, especially by giving them jobs. Here comes the necessity to mention this word at present in our country because of the favouring of certain types of wrong concepts like NEET for MBBS, DOTS for TB and right concepts like NEXT being questioned by certain state governments is the order of the day. Even during the period of MGR as Chief Minister he tried his level best to give a medical seat to a boy known to him but with less marks.At last using Sports quota, the boy was given the seat in spite of he was not a sports person.
