Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), a chronic inflammatory disorder, has recently been recognized as an independent clinical entity. The incidence and prevalence of this autoimmune disorder has steeply increased in the last few decades. The pathophysiology of EoE encircles the genetic, environmental and patient’s immune factors. Its management is particularly challenging with reference to the treatment objectives and the end points.
