The Supreme Court is seeking the Special Investigation Team inquiry into the medical colleges bribery case and is set to give verdict on 1 st of December 2017. This case involves retired judge from Odisha who allegedly took bribe to get favourable judgment for a private medical college which is debarred by MCI. The plea was filed by Campaign for Judicial Accountability and Judicial Reforms. CBI arrested the retired judge under the Prevention of Corruption Act and is currently investigating the matter.
The judge was helping a Trust to get permission to set up medical colleges. The Trust owns 45 medical colleges already debarred by MCI. I personally feel Supreme Court should take strict action against such lawbreakers. What is your take?
