These special contact lenses are helpful in correcting myopia of moderate nature in children from 6 to 10 years of age. For 1 to 2 days they are put during the night and in the process cause corneal reshaping and thus correction of myopia. For a couple of days, they are also supposed to arrest the progress of myopia by 40 percent in adults.
