Guillain–Barre syndrome (GBS) is characterized by muscle weakness. Infections are the primary etiologies of GBS. Now, a recent publication from the Mayo Clinic has revealed that Surgery in cancer and autoimmune disorder patients may predispose the risk of GBS. GBS is an uncommon pathological condition in which the immune system attacks and damages the peripheral nervous system connecting the brain and spine with the rest of the body.
