Psoriasis , a chronic inflammatory skin disease, has been linked to dietary factors; however, evidence from randomized clinical trials remains limited. To address this gap, a 16-week Mediterranean diet intervention, recognized for its anti-inflammatory and cardiometabolic benefits, was evaluated for its effect on psoriasis  severity in 38 patients with mild to moderate disease, mean age, 46.4 years. The study found that adherence to a Mediterranean diet was associated with a significant improvement in psoriasis severity, with an estimated mean change in PASI of −3.4 compared with 0.0 in the control group.
