Mental Distress in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Patients During COVID-19

Highlights Patients with chronic diseases are at an elevated risk of mental health issues due to COVID-19. Substantial depression, anxiety, and stress levels are reported in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients during the pandemic. The rates of mental health distress in IBD patients during the COVID-19 pandemic are similar to those observed prior to the pandemic.
