I am from a small town in Bihar currently working as consultant microbiologist in a NABL accredited lab. There is no good lab which gives microbiology report properly in my hometown. They have no idea about CLSI guidelines or MIC based culture report.
In that scenario, is it a good idea to establish my own automated microbiology lab (not pathology lab) in my hometown? Will the clinicians recognize the need for a proper culture report in a small town and send me samples or all these things are good only in corporate settings only?
