A 54 year old man with difficulty in walking and features of dementia like symptoms was referred for MRI Brain and it was reported as no abnormality. The pictures are here for your observation. This is reported by an EX SR from AIIMS, New Delhi.
The findings are: 1.Grey matter involution 2.Dilatation of ventricles denoting white matter regression Features suggestive of brain degeneration and the symptoms and signs are matching related to imaging features. Conclusion : Let all the Imaging specialists spend some time before reporting. Since most of the doctors including Neurologists go with reports and not seeing the films as is done by me, the report matters more for better clinical management.
