Nobel prize in physiology or medicine was divided this year 2015, half to Mrs Youyou Tu and another to jointly to William C. Campbell and Santoshi Omura. Mrs Y ouyou Tu is first Chinese medical scientist and first female as well developed artemisinin or qinghaosu in 1969 from plant artemisia to treat malaria, especially Plasmodium falciparum (discovered first by Ronald Ross in Calcutta got Nobel prize in 1902).
Mrs youyou tu is born in Dec 1930 and known for 3 nos means no postgraduate degree, no abroad research experience(out of China) and not a member of any national academy of China.
