India’s medical education ecosystem is taking a measured but meaningful step into the world of artificial intelligence, with the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences launching a free, fully online program on AI in Medical Education. Scheduled to begin in January 2026, the initiative is aimed at postgraduate trainees, faculty, NBEMS alumni, and other registered medical professionals who want to understand how AI can be used responsibly in clinical care, teaching, and health systems. The program has been designed with doctors in mind rather than programmers.

No technical or coding background is required.
