Rapid control of itch in atopic dermatitis (AD) and prurigo nodularis (PN) is crucial to minimize symptoms and overall disease burden. Phase 2 trials have shown that nemolizumab can rapidly relieve itch. To further evaluate the speed of this response, a post hoc analysis examined how quickly nemolizumab improved itch in patients enrolled in four clinical trials (AD: n = 1,728; PN: n = 560). The analysis found that nemolizumab rapidly relieved itch in both AD and PN, with a significantly higher proportion of responders compared with placebo as early as Day 2 (AD: 10.7% vs. 2.9%; PN: 17.2% vs. 3.7%).
Notably, itch relief continued to increase through Day 14. Improvements in sleep were also observed by Day 2, with more nemolizumab-treated patients showing reduced sleep disturbance compared with placebo (AD: 9.9% vs. 4.6%; PN: 13.4% vs. 4.3%). These findings confirm that nemolizumab leadsβ¦
