A new variant of the Chikungunya virus has emerged in Pune, Maharashtra, presenting unprecedented and life-threatening symptoms, including paralysis. For the first time, Chikungunya is showing complications like blackened noses, nerve damage, and severe disfigurement, which can last for weeks.
