The new postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) guideline outlines a structured, evidence-based approach to one of the leading causes of maternal mortality worldwide. It emphasizes early recognition, standardized response protocols, and the prompt use of uterotonics and tranexamic acid to control bleeding. The guideline also highlights the importance of team-based care, simulation training, and timely escalation to surgical or interventional procedures when required. Together, these measures reflect a coordinated global strategy focused on rapid action and system preparedness to save mothers’ lives.
