According to the researchers at SUNY Downstate Medical School, USA, Desmopressin Oral Disintegrating Tablets (ODTs) have significant positive benefits in the management of Nocturia. The researchers further stated that treatment of Nocturia with Desmopressin ODT would be clinically beneficial to the patients. Nocturia is one of the most widely unreported conditions that can lower the quality of life.
In this study consisting of 230 male participants and 232 female participants, a greater reduction in the mean number of nocturnal voids was observed in men as compared to women due to the treatment effect of desmopressin ODT.
