1. ICMR Team Arrives in Kerala to Monitor Nipah Situation Following the confirmation of a Nipah virus case in Kerala, an ICMR team has reached Kozhikode to test close contacts of the patient. While three samples tested negative , the team has held discussions with local doctors and district authorities regarding the case and the preventive measures in place. More than 85 contacts of the 43-year-old patient are currently under surveillance, and the team is expected to remain in the district for a few more days.

Meanwhile, a team from the National Centre for Disease Control is also scheduled to visit the district. 2.
