The National Board of Examinations on 12th March 2022 announced the National Medical Council’s (NMC) revision of the percentile cut-off for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) – Post Graduation (PG) 2021 by 15% for all categories (Table 1). However, it is notified that the revised cut-off marks will not change the allotted ranks of NEET PG 2021, the results of which were announced on October 10, 2021.

The Federation of Resident Doctors' Association (FORDA) hopes that the reduction in the minimum qualifying percentile will reduce the wastage in Board-specialty seats and has thanked the honorable Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare for granting this amendment.
