There is a huge confusion in the mind of Doctors for Generic Medicines as MCI insist them to write only Generic Name of Medicines in their prescription to patients,many Doctors's Associations Like IMA, ASI, API etc also advise Doctors to follow it. As Prime Minister spoke clearly that Treatment is very costly in India as price of Branded medicines,stents and prostheses is very high,so it is policy of Government or Health Ministry & Drug Controller, Pharma Price Regulation Authority to reduce price of medicines gradually by fixing price of medicines and stents.But are they are doing really good for patients in name of Generic medicines or simply blaming Doctors for making headlines as populist public alluring exercise.
