In a big leap, scientists from the Scotland have developed a technology to detect brain injuries with ultrasound. The technology holds the promise to improve brain injuries, especially in the remote locations. Brain injuries are one of the most difficult injuries to handle. Detecting brain injuries often requires patient to be transported to the facility where imaging studies can be performed.

However, it is not always possible to do so in due time. Head injuries are more frequent in soldiers on the line of duty, where getting urgent medical imaging is next to impossible.
