I nflammation contributes to initiation, progression, and healing in various cardiovascular diseases. Compared with conventional methods, new noninvasive approaches targeting inflammation have the potential to improve early detection of myocardial inflammation, guide therapeutic interventions, and monitor treatment success. This article briefly outlines novel noninvasive nuclear imaging techniques for cardiac inflammation.
