Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is caused by increased abdominal pressure on the bladder due to sneezing, coughing, or laughing. SUI most commonly affects women due to age, childbirth, obesity, constipation, and anatomical factors. Surgical treatment is necessary for SUI when conservative treatments fail to manage the condition.
