The Human Resource Development Ministry (HRD) had decided to conduct NEET 2019 twice a year in online mode. After Health ministry request to contemplate this proposal considering the logistical and counselling concerns, it has been decided that the examination would be conducted once a year, with NEET 2019 scheduled for 5th May in offline mode. The National Testing agency has decided to conduct NEET 2019 just once a year. Previously it was to be conducted twice in online mode by NTA. The proposal was reconsidered as suggested by the health ministry.
Health ministry pointed out that students staying in rural areas would not be comfortable to adapt to this change of mode.
