The government of India body has shown intent to cap the prices for exorbitant prices of many orthopedic implants by 50%, news has suggested. The reduction in the cost will hopefully increase the affordability as well as higher demand is expected. The reports by the leading news agencies have categorically stated that a government body is looking into reducing the costs of steeply priced orthopedic implants. The prices of these implants are currently not regulated, thus losing affordability amongst the people who need them most.
