Present diagnostic method for Lyme disease has less sensitivity that may lead to misdiagnosis especially in early stage of infection. Now the researchers have suggested a new method that can significantly improve the diagnosis of the disease. Lyme disease is a bacterial infectious disease characterized by erythema migrans which are bull’s eye shaped rash on the limb/s (Attached Image).
