Angiolymphoid Hyperplasia with Eosinophilia (ALHE), is a benign, locally vasoproliferative, idiopathic lesion, which usually affects middle-aged adults and tends to have grouped papules, nodules in the periauricular region, forehead or scalp. In ALHE, there is both a vascular and inflammatory component marked by a proliferation of blood vessels with distinctive large endothelial cells. A distinct characteristic feature includes a dense interstitial infiltrate of eosinophils. Kimura’s disease, which was originally considered the same as ALHE, is now considered a separate disease process.
