I have analysed that for Hepatitis B virus, Phyllanthus niruri is used and the action described is related to reverse transcriptase as per the research papers in 1989. So, the virus which has the same method of spreading and reverse transcriptase as the main method of infection namely HIV may be possible to be controlled by the same plant in 1989 theoretically. Then I started using the drug in powder form which is easily available in our traditional system of medicine specific to Tamil Nadu from 1990 onwards.
