Sexual harassment in the workplace is not just a social or ethical concern it is a legal issue with defined obligations under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 , commonly known as the POSH Act . For clinics, nursing homes, and diagnostic centers with more than 10 employees, setting up an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) is not optional it is a legal mandate . The ICC must include at least four members: a presiding officer (woman employee at a senior level) , two employees committed to womenβs causes or with legal/social work background, and one external member from an NGO or legal field.
