A 12-hour nationwide strike was announced by Indian Medical Association (IMA) on July 28 to protest against the “anti-democratic and anti-poor” National Medical Commission (NMC) Bill, 2017. As per the Health Ministry sources, no strikes were reported from the majority of the states.

Delhi Medical Association also refused this strike.
