A 3 year old child presented with complaints of watering and discharge from the left eye since birth. The parents gave history that they had been advised Lacrimal massage by the child's paediatrician, but that had not resolved the condition. On examination the child showed raised tear film height and matting of eyelashes on the left side. The child was taken up for probing and silicon intubation under general anesthesia. The procedure went on smoothly and the child showed immediate resolution of the watering problem.

The silicon tube was removed in the Outpatient department after 3 months. Silicon Intubation has been used successfully for treatment of blocked tear ducts .
