Prostate cancer (PCa) is the sixth most common type of cancer globally and the most prevalent in men, accounting for about 10% of all cancer cases. In the world population, about 3% of men die from PCa. The worldwide average estimated five-year survival rate is 58%. Incidence rates are about six times higher in developed countries compared to developing countries.
