Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTS):   To identify whether or not a patient has a lung disease, the PFT evaluates lung capacity, lung and chest wall mechanics. The PFT test is used to check for blockage and restrictive illnesses.

PFT also assesses patients before to surgery, particularly those who are over 60 years old and have a history of smoking, coughing, or wheezing.
