Quacks are scourge to any society. They are flourishing in cities as well as in villages. The law has to come forward to take cognizance of all this, identify such people and bring the culprits to book. Enough damage has been done by neglecting this aspect although the IMA has been crying hoarse, all these years as peoples's welfare is the uppermost consideration.
Governments have not only miserably failed but is indirectly instrumental in bringing about a deterioration in health care delivery by throwing the human lives at the mercy of quacks. We note with grave concerns the rampage usage of drugs of modern scientific system by untrained and unqualified persons. The administrative machinery also has not kept pace to meet this menace of quackery.
