The US FDA has approved lisdexamfetamine oral solution for the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in adult and pediatric patients age six years and older, as well as for moderate to severe binge eating disorder (BED) in adults. This is the first FDA-approved lisdexamfetamine oral formulation, providing a treatment option for patients who have difficulty swallowing or who prefer using a liquid dosage form.

Clinical evidence The efficacy of lisdexamfetamine was evaluated in several clinical studies involving patients with ADHD (age groups: 6 to 12 years, 13 to 17 years, 6 to 17 years, and adults) and adults with BED.
