Today a patient came with the complaints of tingling and numbness along the back of the thigh for the past three days. He observed rash over the leg and he took antihistamines for 2 days but no relief. There is no history of fever, severe pain and itching in the thigh as well over the leg. There is no history of corticosteroid.
I started giving only paracetamol. I am suspecting herpes zoster. Here is the photograph attached of the affected leg showing rash and lesions. Suggest the diagnosis and related treatment.
