In chennai i came across many GPs, even pediatricians prescribing Syr.Banocide(DEC) routinely for URI/LRI for both children and adults... there was no additional cough suppressant/expectorant pescribed...there is no literature supporting DEC use in resp.disorders...visceral larva migrans is not much common in indian population....anyone has a reason to use it??please clarify.
