I want a view regarding the use of famciclovir and valacyclovir, I came across patients.with Herpes who were directly prescribed Famciclovir. Few gave a history that they were not diagnosed earlier and later confirmed with HSV2 that led to recurrence. Some who are educated and face problem don't want to use famciclovir (all thanks to googling) as they say that their symptoms relieved as long as they take acyclovir as there is no drug after famciclovir. But it is recurring.
What protocol should be followed in HSV 2 pt.that will decrease the symptoms and also help them in long term? P.S: I checked them for HIV too. Do homeopathy drugs help in the tx?
