Grade 1 Increased retinal reflex and narrowing  of retinal arterioles  Grade 2 Changes at a v crossings  Grade 3 Hemorrhage  and exudates and copper wire appearance    Grade 4 Papilledema and silver wire appearance  I have seen recurrent vitreous hemorrhage due to uncontrolled hypertension.
