Today I had a new patient para1 gravid a2. She was 36 weeks pregnant and came for absent heartbeats told in some other hospital. It revealed absent heartbeats and cervix was 2 cm dilated with syntocinon drip. She expelled a dead born female foetus. Immediatly followed by expulsion of completly separated and retained placenta.
Following delivery the was no bleeding and during the past also no pain and no bleeding.history. How to account for this asymptomatic placental separation. With not even a drop of bleeding during antenatal period and after delivery. She never had any symp toms of concealed accidental haemorrhage. Give your views about this.
