Health is essential for the social and economic development of a nation. Health is a fundamental right of every citizen. In Al-Mata declaration it's decided that every individual of a country should attain the minimum level of health through primary health care which should be accessible, affordable, availabl e and acceptable. India is signatory to this declaration. Since 1978, the government has done a lot to achieve a goal of health for all.
But still, we are far behind in spite of various sincere efforts. There's dichotomy of services and govt.tried to fill this gap through an implementation of NRHM but still the efforts not quite enough.
