Attempting suicide is an emotional decision taken by people under severe stress, depression or anger. Most of the times they regret for doing that. Aluminium phosphide is very lethal rat poison if taken accidentally or ingestion intentionally can cause be very devastating .Death is almost certain if its taken immediately after exposure to moisture or water . Chance of survival is almost nil .
Some lucky people who takes it after that phosphine gas completes goes out of container has a chance of survival. Such a dangerous chemical shouldn't be available to public. I think we, as doctors should request government to ban these Aluminium phosphide (Black tablets/ Kaala matras) banned for public .
